Ok, this is a toughie. What single WKW film scene do you favour above all the rest, or if that's impossible to answer what scene do you find most memorable? To put it another way, if someone casually mentions the name Wong Kar Wai in a conversation, what is the first scene that springs to mind? The quintessential scene that epitomises WKWs style?

For me it has to be the end train sequence with Tony Leung from Happy Together. That scene is just bursting with energy and optimism, whilst at the same time hinting at a deep hidden meloncholy. Every time I watch it hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

The end scene of Fallen Angels, i cannot think of a more perfect ending to falling angels than the way it is.

for me it's not specific. but it's probably takeshi in fallen angels. but not the end scene. it's the perfect capturing of the wandering soul experiencing or searching for liberation... that kind of feel lingers for years...

im not sure if this is just a publicity shot or if its the actual one used in the film, but at any rate, this is my favorite scene because i love the way he uses the music which perftectly fits the mood and beauty of the scene

hands down it would be the taxi scene that both appeared in In the Mood for Love nd Happy Together. It is the scene wherein the couple (maggie and tony, leslie and tony) were inside the taxi and then one of them would lean on the other shoulder. i just love that! It has this melancholy feel into it.
