as long as we're talking about AoT..does anyone have the soundtrack from the film and not the new-age esque versions? like i'm looking for the erhu's and all, you know?

the one i have --- i think is same as c2s -- and it's credited as Chan Yee Dong (sorry, i don't know english id track -- but it shows as chinese on iTunes) and it's still awfully new agey. but i have on MINIDISC lol... THE version from the film. am i hallucinating?

edit: ok. i went to c2s to verify. the ost is all synthesizer and jazz guitar esque. as if Pink Floyd did the AoT ost. lol.... i guess what i'm asking is if anyone else even remembers this other version...

when i hear that track (whatever version) i am actually thinking 'chinese odyssey' because i've seen those more often than AoT...
maybe the version you are looking for is used in one of those 2 movies?

(in case some people don't know: 'chinese odyssey' is using a lot of the tracks from AoT)

edit: ok, i don't have the original 'CO' soundtracks (i wish i had) but i do have the OST from CO2002 and the song is used as well... but i don't think this is what you are looking for...

I have seen AoTr 3 times in Cannes and I can confirm that the first 2 battle sequences and the first voice-over have been removed (sigh!). The final sequence is different too. In this new one there is only Leslie.

I don't agree with the fact that Redux is an easier version of the movie, It's only shorter...
The viewer is not helped in no way by this new editing, for example we don't see the first encounter between Huang and the thieves...

I have thought a lot in these weeks about this fact, but I can't find a good reason for this new cut. It could be better if Wong had done only the restoration. No comment about the music.

the way everyone talks about AOTr, I'm not getting my hopes up. I now refuse to overhype this like Blueberry. When it comes out, I'll watch it, and hopefully I'll like it.
