Thanks - I knew that and was there. But what I mean: His apartment was right next to the escalator, so he could look down. Anyone know where at the escalator that was?

Oh, that apartment. I haven't found it yet. However, it must be seen from the lower half of the escalator (where I took the photos) since the upper half of the escalator changes its appearance to one that doesn't match what was shown in the film. The floor is slanted and flat in the lower half while the upper half has stairs.
