Oooh, thanks for posting.
I think they look a little soft, don't you? I've recently seen a dvd-bluray comparison of Blade Runner (which I've still not seen in any form!) and they've done a superb job on it.

Jeffery,

in case you're still waiting for the confirmation. indeed that was Dave Wong Kit (王傑) singing. the video clip stops with the info. the title of the song is the last line of the lyrics: forget (about) me, forget (about) you.

the shot before is about another song, a duet by Dave Wong Kit and Augustine (葉歡): you are my heartache, forever. if you want to listen to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGdSTlBrh6g
don't mind the English. they spell out the sound of the Mandarin lyrics. these are not translations. the video is a tape for karaoke, but you do get to see vintage Dave and Augustine. both songs are rather popular in Taiwan, 1988. both singers were rather "new" at that time, they only released their first albums the year before.

a bonus for you and Maggie's fans:

this is from Dave's first album in 1987. vintage Maggie in the MTV!

Interview with Andy Lau:

He expressed among all actresses, he admired Maggie Cheung the most but he's yet to find a script that moves her, it was once suggested to shoot the sequel for Wong Kar Wai's As Tears Goes By many years ago, it was discussed to collaborate with Maggie again, but there is no more news on that. Andy said: "I'm waiting for a miracle to collaborate with Maggie after 20 years, seize the chance when we're still front line actors, this will be special. Actually I'm not yet dead in As Tears Goes By, but the audience rather my character die off than becoming a person without memories, thus during the midnight screening, the ending is changed."

Damn, I had no idea Andy was interested in doing a sequel! Though I don't think anything will ever come of it. Also, it's been like 20 years... If it was going to happen it would have happened by now. *cries*

I always wondered why Andy Lau was never in any Wong Kar Wai movies after Days of Being Wild.

"When talked about movies, he only collaborated with director Wong Kar Wai twice and never collaborate with him again, he explained that he lacked security when collaborating with Wong Kar Wai. He blamed himself being not a natural born actor as he could not grabbed hold of feelings thus would not know what next step Wong would make. He said: “I hate myself for not able to grabbed hold the feeling of time, I’m not a natural born actor, my acting improves with hard work and help, thus I need script to get myself prepared, I’m afraid of those what’s the next step atmosphere.” He revealed that he once told Wong: “You can look for me to collaborate if one day you would to change your style.”"

That's very respectable that he flat out says he feels too insecure to be in that kind of situation. It makes me like him more.
